Project Description
This once dark, enclosed kitchen now invites the lights to be dimmed! Combining two exterior rooms into one, the space now includes a granite-topped island loaded with special features, such as a pop-up power strip and two levels of seating, with a curved end for visual appeal and comfortable movement. The wall cabinets provide storage for china at the ceiling as well as helping to light the room. Custom depth cabinetry lifts the conventional microwave off of the counter. The refrigerator surround dresses the appliance and provides convenient access to a multitude of serving and prep areas. Figured birch panels draw the eye toward the ventilation hood situated over dual cooking surfaces. The opposite wall houses a desk, balanced by pantry and hutch. The perimeter birch cabinetry blends well with the cherry island.
